pens and paint

Pens and Paint- ART, EXPRESSION, DISCOVERY

This art-based program focuses on coping with stress through visual arts and creative writing. Art is a form of creative expression, and we can help you do it by learning artistic skills such as canvassing, pottery making and even slam poetry.

winter wellness

Winter Wellness- LEARN, BE WITH WINTER, CONNECT

Winter Wellness is a program that runs in the winter months. With Winter Wellness, you can learn how physical activity, through being outdoors during winter, can help cope with stress. We run a variety of winter based activities and all transportation, lift tickets, equipment, rentals and lessons are included and absolutely free to participants.

Rooted- OUTDOORS, GROWING, BONDING

This summer program is an opportunity for youth to come together and connect with one another while exploring nature, gardening, mindfulness and more! As a group we will collaboratively grow a garden, develop coping skills to support our mental well-being, and reconnect with our natural world in sustainable ways.

 

Mindfulness

Mindfulness- DISCOVER, RECHARGE, BREATHE

The power of yoga and meditation is a healthy coping method. This program encourages you to discover yourself, and allows you to recharge through mindfulness and discussion with peers. Most of all, it teaches you the key aspect of mental health maintenance which is self care – to take a while just to breathe. This program is for youth 15 and older.

 

Self-Care- REST, REFLECT, EXPLORE

In this program you will learn many different forms of self-care (personal, social, technological, practical, etc.) and why self care matters. As a group, you will take time to discover self-care activities such as music, yoga, reflection, journaling and more! By taking the time to get to know yourself a little more and understanding how self-care maintains well-being and, you will discover the things you enjoy or that make you feel better.

 Are you waiting to secure a spot in one of YNRA’s programs? While you wait, you could join YNRA’s Monthly Youth Drop-In! All youth 13-20 are welcome to come chill, learn coping strategies, meet other youth, and learn about YouthNet! Sessions are held in-person (at the YNRA program space: 2305 St. Laurent Blvd., Unit #300B).

chronic pain connect

A Peer Support Drop-in

In partnership with CHEO’s Chronic Pain Clinic, Chronic Pain Connect is a biweekly drop-in group open to youth ages 13-20 living with chronic pain/illness to share, gain mutual support, connect with peers and have some fun! Sessions are held both virtually (on Zoom) and in-person (at the YNRA program space: 2305 St. Laurent Blvd., Unit #300B)

monthly coping challenge

Join YouthNet’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) as they release a new mental health coping challenge each month for you to conquer! There will be a prize draw for all those who enter the challenge, no matter how much progress you make! Plus you’ll get to ty out some awesome new coping skills and meet some new friends, all while flexing your self-care muscles!
